One of my new favorite blogs is No Meat Athlete. Matt, the blog’s founder is a runner who went vegetarian. The switch had an amazing effect on his running. He went from a 4:52 marathon to qualifying for Boston (and he’s young and male, so he needed a 3:10!) He recently went vegan and he has great tips for training, as well as recipes. Today I made Split Pea soup. I finally got to use my Dutch oven.
I also made a cappuccino cake to use up the extra espresso cream and Kahlua frosting. So good!
Even Sassafras wanted a piece!
